印度为孟加拉国水泥打开国门

　　有关的商人说从孟加拉国他们只需花3小时到一天的时间就可以将水泥送到印度东北部，其中有7个州的水泥市场较大。

　　孟加拉国水泥产能约一千多万吨而本地水泥消耗约七百万吨。

India has opened its doors for Bangladeshi companies to export cement to the country's northeastern States, officials said here today. 

Holcim (Bangladesh) Ltd. and Shah Cement Ltd. were the first to get the Bureau of Indian Standards Certificate. 

The certificate is a must to get export approval to Indian market. 

Businessmen here said it would take between three hours and one- day to send cement to the northeastern States which would otherwise get cement from Madhya Pradesh taking at least 20 days by road. 

The seven sister States have a huge market for cement and Bangladeshi companies can make best use of the opportunity, one exporter said. 

Bangladesh has the capacity to produce 10.5 million tonnes of cement annually with the local demand as low as seven million.
