印尼希望与Cemex庭外和解最大水泥公司问题

　　据中国水泥网了解，Cemex持有该公司25.5%的股权，由于政府部门的干预，Cemex公司1998年的大量收购失败。Cemex曾预计花一亿七千万美金买下Gresik的大部分股权，但是雅加达受管理层反对，担心被国外人士控制而退出了这项交易。 

　　去年Cemex公司向美国国际中心提出仲裁，要求解决这个投资争议纠纷，并要求数千万美金的赔偿。

Jakarta sees a settlement with Mexico's Cemex

Indonesia's government sees an out-of-court solution to a long-standing battle with Mexico's Cemex , the world's No. 3 cement maker, Indonesia's foreign minister said on Sunday. 

Jakarta wants to solve the dispute with Cemex along with other disputes with foreign businesses to give more confidence to other foreign investors。

"I think we both see a way out. As you know there is pending arbitration case. But there is a great possibility that we'll find out-of-court solutions, an out-of-arbitrarion solution, satisfactory to both sides. We are working on that," Wirajuda said. 

He did not give any additional details on a possible settlement on Indonesia's largest cement company PT Semen Gresik , which is controlled by the government. 

Cemex holds a 25.5 percent stake in the company and has failed since 1998 to gain the majority control it wants, largely because of a management rebellion. 

Cemex paid $170 million for the Gresik stake and had an option to buy a majority stake. But Jakarta, pressured by management opposition at key unit PT Semen Padang over fears of foreign control, backed out of the deal. 

Cemex, which operates in more than 30 countries across four continents, filed for arbitration last year to the U.S.-based International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes, seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation because of unfulfilled sale conditions.
